On May 16, Rep. Sykes invited constituents to join her for a Community Conversation scheduled for Wednesday, May 28 in Fairlawn. The event will focus on critical issues such as Medicaid, Social Security, and the protection of seniors' benefits. Rep. Sykes emphasized her commitment to safeguarding these essential services.

In another post dated May 17, Rep. Sykes congratulated the University of Akron's women's lacrosse team for their remarkable achievement as MAC Champions. She highlighted the leadership of Coach Elaine Jones, who was honored with the MAC Coach of The Year Award. This historic victory is a source of pride for Ohio's 13th district.

Emilia Sykes has represented Ohio's 13th District since replacing Tim Ryan in 2023 and previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Akron, Ohio in 1986, she graduated from Kent State University with a BA and earned a JD from the University of Florida.
