Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Ohio's 13th District, has taken to social media to comment on the implications of the SAVE Act on voter rights. Her recent tweets focus on the potential impact of this legislation on women's ability to vote.

On April 3, 2025, Rep. Sykes took to Twitter to invite the public to a discussion on the SAVE Act's impact on women voters, emphasizing the complications women may face when trying to exercise their voting rights. In her tweet, she stated, "Join Rep. Sykes today at noon to discuss the SAVE Act and why it places unnecessary burdens on women who want to exercise their right to vote."

Later that same day, Sykes addressed another aspect of the SAVE Act, specifically its repercussions for married women who have changed their names. At 16:44:12, she tweeted, "Are you married? The SAVE Act will place unnecessary burdens on American women who have changed their name, making it harder to exercise their constitutional right to vote. Share this graphic and spread the word!"

In her final tweet for the day, posted at 21:37:27, Rep. Sykes reminded Ohio residents of the looming voter registration deadline for the May 6 Ohio primary elections, highlighting the importance of participation in local as well as national elections. She tweeted, "Are you ready to vote? You must register or update your information by April 7 to be able to vote in Ohio’s May 6 Primary Election. Local elections are just as important as national elections, so make sure you take the steps to make your voice heard!"
