The following day on January 30, Rep. Sykes addressed a tragic accident near Washington National Airport. She conveyed her condolences via Twitter: "As my team and I continue to monitor the tragic accident near Washington National Airport, my heart is with the passengers and crew who tragically lost their lives, as well as their families, whose pain I could never imagine."
