It was announced on Wednesday that three members of the Kent State men's golf program had been named among the 31 athletes selected to the 2022 Academic All-MAC team.
In addition to their conference-winning work on the links, Luca Civello, Cade Breitenstine and Josh Gilkison were hard at work in the classroom as well, each posting a GPA north of 3.2 while also participating in at least half of the season's contests.
Civello, a sophomore majoring in Business, finished out the year with a pristine 3.99 GPA. Breitenstine wrapped up his semester with a 3.692 in Finance and Gilkison, fresh off an individual MAC Championship closed out his final term with a 3.638 GPA, earning his degree in Business Administration.
