Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, U.S. Congresswoman representing Ohio’s 13th district since 2023, recently addressed several issues on her social media platform, including public education, health care rights, and government accountability.

On August 19, 2025, Rep. Sykes emphasized the importance of quality education in a tweet: "Students need high quality public education to become the next generation of engineers, mathematicians, entrepreneurs, tradesmen, and more. Later that day, she commented on access to emergency health care: "Access to emergency health care, including abortion, is a basic right under law. Rep. Emilia Sykes succeeded Tim Ryan as the representative for Ohio’s 13th district in 2023 after previously serving in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Akron in 1986 and currently residing there at age 37, she holds degrees from Kent State University (BA) and the University of Florida (JD).
