Sheriff Fatheree would like to thank the Ohio Attorney General's Office for the new hardware and software to be used for our Sex Offender Registry. The state is investing over $300K in upgrades to each county registry, made possible through a grant from the US Department of Justice.

In Ohio, each county's Sheriff's Office is responsible for maintaining the local Sex Offender Registry, which requires non-stop work to ensure all offenders are registered, verified at their addresses, compliant with the law, and that neighbors are notified of their residency. Summit County has about 1,100 registered sex offenders. Residents can search them on our website (https://bit.ly/3ZM2Yv6) or through an interactive map on the Summit County Sheriff's Office mobile app (https://bit.ly/3XlFzPn).
