Sheriff’s Office holds countywide winter coat drive

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is holding its second Faith & Blue Winter Coat Drive from December 5th through December 16th to benefit Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron.

“If you’re searching your closet for your winter clothing and come across a coat you no longer use, please consider donating it to help keep someone safe and warm who is experiencing difficult circumstances this winter,” said Sheriff Fatheree.

Most needed at this time are men’s coats, new or lightly-used, but coats for women and children and other winter clothing items will also happily be accepted and go to good use. The Sheriff’s Office has set up three donation points in their offices throughout the county where coats can be dropped off:

North: Sheriff’s District 12 Office. Twinsburg Township Town Hall, 1790 Enterprise Pkwy, Twinsburg, OH 44087

Central: Sheriff’s Office Civil Division. Summit County Courthouse, 209 S. High St., Akron, OH 44308

South: Sheriff’s District 3 Office in Green. 393 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319

Coats can also be taken directly to Haven of Rest Ministries at 175 E. Market Street in Akron. Just mention the Sheriff’s Office Faith & Blue Coat Drive during drop off.
