Hudson City Council is now accepting applications for participation on the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee. Applications will be accepted through June 30, 2022.
The City’s Comprehensive Plan is a guiding document, directed by residents and local stakeholders, which directs the community’s vision for the future. The Plan details a long-term vision and policy agenda for important issues in land use, housing, parks, infrastructure, transportation, and more.
The steering committee will be tasked with reviewing project deliverables, providing input on key topics of the plan, ensuring the process is being conducted in a timely manner, and assisting with public outreach. The committee will meet with City staff, the planning consultant, boards and commissions, and residents to ensure the plan is representative of the needs of the community.
The first meeting tentatively will be in August 2022 with an anticipated conclusion in September 2023. The committee will meet approximately once a month.
City Council will appoint 7 Hudson residents through an open application process. Each City Council member also will make one direct nomination, for a total of 14 residents on the committee. City Council will appoint representatives from 5 City boards and commissions for a total of 19 steering committee members.
