The City of Green’s Raintree 5K and Fun Run takes runners around the Raintree Golf and Event Center, 4350 Mayfair Rd, where they find beautiful views in every direction on Monday, July 4. The family-friendly race is open to runners ages 5 and up with the 5K starting at 7:30 am and the 1-Mile Fun Run starting at 8:45 am.
Race door prizes include, one free pair of shoes donated by Ritchie’s Sporting Goods and five 18-hole golf passes (including cart rental) donated by Raintree Golf and Event Center. The first 300 registered runners will receive a unisex soft short-sleeved tee! Race proceeds benefit First Tee of Akron, a youth golf instruction program.
Prizes go to the top male and female finishers as well as age-group awards. Runners may take individual photos at the podium after the race!
The Raintree 5k is the second race in the City of Green Great Eight Race Series. Complete 5 of the 8 races to receive a FREE race series hoodie. Those interested should register at active.com. Day-of registration will run from 6:30 to 7:30 am at the Raintree Golf and Event Center, runners may also pick up race day packets at this time.
