Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 13th district, has been active on social media to engage with her constituents regarding key legislative and policy issues. Through a series of tweets, she addressed various concerns ranging from federal budget cuts to local project impacts.

On February 20, 2025, Rep. Sykes highlighted the efforts of House Democrats to safeguard American taxpayers against reductions in essential services allegedly instigated by figures such as Trump and Musk. She urged citizens to share their personal stories via a provided link: "House Democrats are fighting to protect hard working American taxpayers from cuts that Trump, Musk & DOGE are making to essential services. Rep. Sykes needs to hear your personal stories so we can work for you."
