Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce that the City of Cuyahoga Falls will host the Falls Fire Showdown Smoke on the Water on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. The event, sponsored by Western Reserve Hospital, will benefit the Cuyahoga Falls Firefighters Memorial Foundation.

Firefighters from around the region will compete in a relay challenge to determine who is the best of the best. The event is family-friendly, with activities and a mini-challenge for children. In addition, the event will also feature food trucks, craft beer vendors, and 80s music with Cleveland's Breakfast Club from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Downtown Amphitheater.

"We invite everyone to Downtown Cuyahoga Falls to kick off another summer of family-friendly fun with the Falls Fire Showdown," stated Mayor Don Walters. "Join me in rooting for our Cuyahoga Falls Firefighters as they compete against other area departments."

"On behalf of the men and women of the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department, I want to say a sincere thank you to Western Reserve Hospital and the community for their unwavering support," stated Cuyahoga Falls Fire Chief Chris Martin.
