Mayor Horrigan Extends Hours At Four Akron Community “Cooling Centers” For Friday
Due to forecasted high temperatures, Mayor Horrigan has announced that the City of Akron will extend hours at four community “cooling centers” on Friday, July 28. The four community centers (Lawton, Mason Park, Patterson Park, and Summit Lake) will be open from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Summer camps at those locations will still proceed as usual. All other community centers are also open to the public during their normal business hours and will have water available for anyone in need.
