Sen. Vernon Sykes opposed bill to limit governor’s power to issue health orders

Democratic State Sen. Vernon Sykes last week voted against SB 311, which would limit the power of the governor and the state Department of Health to issue mandatory statewide quarantine orders during health emergencies.
