Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 13th district, has been vocal on several issues via her social media posts. Her recent tweets reflect her stance on veterans' healthcare, local sports enthusiasm, and federal government efficiency.

On March 21, 2025, Rep. Sykes addressed concerns regarding veterans' healthcare. She stated "Nothing about providing healthcare for the veterans who bravely served our nation and protected our freedoms is 'wasteful.'" She joined veterans and supporters outside the Akron VA Clinic to protest against the Trump Administration's plan to lay off 83,000 VA workers.

Later that day, she expressed support for a local sports team in Akron with a tweet: "All of Akron will be cheering on the @ZipsMBB! Show the country why #OH13 is known as the Birthplace of Champions."

On March 22, 2025, Rep. Sykes discussed governmental fiscal responsibility by advocating for a return to regular order in passing appropriation bills. She tweeted: "The best way to root out fraud, waste, and abuse in the federal government is to get back into regular order and pass 12 appropriation bills." This approach allows Congress to evaluate what is effective within federal operations.
