On March 20, 2025, Rep. Sykes emphasized the constitutional limitations on presidential powers. She stated that "Further, the president does not have the power to dismantle a federal agency without the consent of congress. That’s not my opinion — it is the written word of the Constitution. President Trump can write and sign an Executive Order, but the constitution is catching up to him."

The following day, March 21, 2025, she invited her audience to join her for an interactive session. In her tweet she mentioned: "Join Rep.
