Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 13th district, shared her thoughts and experiences through a series of tweets. She has been an active voice on educational policies and community engagement since replacing Tim Ryan in 2023.

On March 19, 2025, Rep. Sykes emphasized the importance of quality public education for developing future professionals such as engineers and entrepreneurs. She expressed her commitment to supporting the U.S. Department of Education's efforts in ensuring good education for all students, stating: "Students need high quality public education to become the next generation of engineers, mathematicians, entrepreneurs, tradesmen, and more."

In another tweet dated March 20, 2025, she highlighted her engagement with constituents from Ohio's 13th district during a Community Conversation event. Rep. Sykes reaffirmed her dedication to representing her district in Washington by stating: "Rep. Sykes was honored to meet with constituents from all corners of #OH13 who came to the Community Conversation to make their voices heard."

Additionally, on March 20, 2025, Rep. Sykes paid tribute to Renee Powell for breaking barriers as one of the first Black women in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). Powell's journey began in Canton and continued at Ohio State University under her father William's guidance: "Renee Powell broke barriers as one of the first Black women to play in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA)."
