Emilia Strong Sykes, a U.S. Congress representative for Ohio's 13th district, has shared several updates via social media concerning significant issues and initiatives in her district. Sykes, who succeeded Tim Ryan in 2023, continues to engage with her constituents on matters of healthcare, taxation, and arts participation.

On March 18, 2025, Sykes addressed the potential impacts of proposed Medicaid cuts in her district. She stated that "In #OH13, we can't afford radical cuts to Medicaid. These cuts would directly impact the care of more than 200,000 people in our district and decimate our largest employer -- the health care system." Her statement highlights concerns over healthcare access and employment stability within the region.

The following day, March 19, 2025, Sykes turned her attention to tax-related issues as the filing season approached. She assured constituents that "if you have problems with your tax return, don’t hesitate to contact our office." She emphasized that her office's Constituent Advocates are available to assist with IRS communications and resolving any tax-related challenges.

Later on March 19, 2025, Sykes extended an invitation to high school students in her district to participate in an art competition. She announced "Calling all artists! Rep. Sykes encourages all high school students in #OH13 to participate in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition." The submission deadline was set for March 24.
