On March 14, 2025, Rep. Sykes highlighted the range of services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). She noted that beyond healthcare, the VA assists veterans with home loans and other benefits. In her tweet, she encouraged individuals to learn more about these resources by visiting a specific website: "Did you know that the VA does more than just health care? Later on March 14, Rep. Sykes expressed her condolences following the death of helicopter pilot Anthony Jones. She acknowledged the efforts of first responders who quickly initiated a rescue mission and secured downed power lines. Additionally, she mentioned her communication with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) for further information: "My thoughts are with the loved ones of helicopter pilot Anthony Jones who passed away this morning."
On March 17, Rep. Sykes congratulated the University of Akron's men's basketball team (@ZipsMBB) for winning back-to-back Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament Championships.
