Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 13th district, has been actively engaging with her constituents through social media. Her recent tweets address significant issues such as veterans' welfare, upcoming community events, and her efforts in assisting constituents with federal matters.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Sykes expressed concern over the Trump Administration’s plan to lay off VA employees. She stated that this decision would negatively impact veterans who depend on these services, including approximately 140,000 individuals in Northeast Ohio. "Veterans have bravely served our country and deserve our support, including VA medical care. The Trump Administration’s plan to layoff VA employees will only harm veterans who rely on their services, including 140,000 in Northeast Ohio."

The following day on March 6, Rep. Sykes invited residents of Ohio's 13th district to participate in a telephone town hall meeting scheduled for that day. She announced that she would be joined by special guest Representative Marcy Kaptur to discuss important federal updates and their implications for the local community."Join Rep. Sykes for a telephone townhall on March 6 to discuss important federal updates and how they impact you in #OH13."

Later that same day, Rep. Sykes highlighted her office's achievements since she took office by announcing the return of over $5 million owed to constituents within her district. She encouraged residents needing assistance with federal agencies such as the Social Security Administration or Internal Revenue Service to reach out for help."Since taking office, Rep. Sykes has returned over $5 million owed to constituents in #OH13!"
