On March 4, 2025, Rep. Sykes announced an upcoming telephone townhall scheduled for March 6 to discuss "important federal updates" and their impact on residents of Ohio's 13th district. The following day, on March 5, she expressed her condolences over the passing of Rep. Sylvester Turner, acknowledging his contributions as an advocate for Texas' 18th Congressional District. Later that same day, Rep. Sykes invited followers to join her at 5:30 p.m. on Instagram Live for a discussion about how recent federal changes are affecting veterans.
