Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 13th district, shared updates on her recent activities and achievements through a series of tweets.

On December 10, 2024, Rep. Sykes announced that the Water Resources Development Act had passed the House. The legislation authorizes funding for various local projects aimed at enhancing water quality and infrastructure in Ohio's 13th district. "Today, the Water Resources Development Act passed the House! This bill authorizes funding for a variety of local projects that will improve water quality and infrastructure throughout #OH13."

In a tweet dated December 11, 2024, Rep. Sykes addressed constituents' challenges when dealing with federal agencies. She highlighted the availability of her team of Constituent Advocates who assist residents in resolving issues with federal government interactions. "Rep. Sykes knows that working with federal agencies can be frustrating, especially when you aren't being heard. That's why she has a team of Constituent Advocates ready to help you resolve issues with the federal government."

On December 12, 2024, Rep. Sykes congratulated William Arrowood from NIHF STEM High School for winning the 2024 Congressional App Challenge for Ohio's 13th district. His app, "How to Beat Bezos," is described as an innovative stock market simulator designed to educate players on buying and selling stocks for profit. "Congratulations to William Arrowood from NIHF STEM High School for being named the winner of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge for #OH13!"
