On Thursday, December 21, former Beechcroft High School standout, Amani Lyles’ current college team, the Akron Zips, won 94-90 in their NCAA D1 game against the Gardner–Webb Runnin' Bulldogs.

The game took place in Akron, Ohio. This was the first matchup against the Gardner–Webb Runnin' Bulldogs this season.

The Akron Zips’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, December 30 at 4 p.m. in Cleveland, Ohio.
