Summa Health today released its 2021 Annual Report, which includes a collection of compelling videos that illustrate how Summa Health provided compassionate care to the Greater Akron community throughout the year.

The videos, which may be found here, share:

• Key 2021 accomplishments within “Summa Stands with Our Community,” a DEI initiative.
• Summa Health’s COVID-19 response to the arrival of Omicron and Delta variants.
• The growth and impact of the Summa Health Pelvic Program as it assists with the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pelvic pain.
• The importance of offering the unique and high level of care provided by the Summa Health Pride Clinic.
• The growing need for a Post-COVID Clinic to address coordinated patient care after discharge.

“I am pleased to present the 2021 Summa Health Annual Report to the community,” said Dr. Cliff Deveny, president and CEO of Summa Health. “While the COVID-19 pandemic continued to impact our organization in 2021, Summa Health’s commitment to innovation and collaboration resulted in the accomplishment of many key initiatives and the ability to provide ongoing compassionate care to our community.”

Dr. Deveny and Summa Health Board Chair George Strickler open the 2021 Annual Report with a welcome message that reflects on how Summa Health fulfilled numerous initiatives, as well as expresses sincere appreciation of Summa Health employees, the heart of the organization. The report also includes a review of the year’s key financials and brief capsules of each of the highlighted stories.
