City of Barberton issued the following announcement on March 14

The proceeds collected at this month’s Change for Change event will go towards the Woodford Medal of Honor Memorial. The Change for Change Fundraiser will be on Wednesday, March 16th from 4:30 – 7:00 pm at the Barberton VFW. The Woodfood Medal of Honor Memorial will be placed near the Military Honor Wall this spring.

On Wednesday, the VFW Post 1066 Barberton celebrates their 90th Anniversary. The VFW volunteers over 2,000 hours of activities to veterans each year. Post 1066 donates financially to local groups and organizations to support youth activities, sports, local food banks, homeless and patriotic displays to improve the community. “No one does more for Veterans.”
