City of Hudson issued the following announcement on Jan. 31
City Council is currently accepting applications for an opening on the Environmental Awareness Committee. Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25.
Environmental Awareness Committee
The Environmental Awareness Committee (EAC) serves to educate and advise residents on environmental issues such as recycling, storm water, beautification, stream & wetlands clean-up and water & energy efficiency. The EAC promotes these topics through events such as Green on the Green, and as the Hudson affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. Efforts to educate residents on storm water include a rain garden at Barlow Community Center, the rain barrel art program, and rain barrel workshops.
How to Apply
To apply for an opening, please complete the online Boards and Commissions Application. Alternatively, residents may print and fill out an application and return it to the Clerk of Council at City Hall, 1140 Terex Road, Hudson, OH 44236.
The deadline to apply is Friday, February 25 by 4:30 p.m. To qualify, applicants must have been a Hudson resident for at least two years prior to the appointment and remain a resident during the entire term. Only registered voters will be considered for the openings.
