City of Barberton issued the following announcement on Jan. 19
Join us at the Barberton Public Library for this free QPR Training. This training will help you learn warning signs/risk factors, how to talk to someone about suicide, and how to connect people with the right resources. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR lean how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
There will be two QPR public training sessions:
Thursday, February 3rd at 10:00 AM
Tuesday, February 8th at 2:00 PM
Q- Question
P- Persuade
R- Refer
Attendees will be required to wear masks during the training process.
