City Of Akron Now Hiring For Snow And Ice Removal Team

The City of Akron plans to hire twenty-five seasonal snowplow drivers for the 2023/2024 Snow and Ice Removal Program. Snowplow drivers are responsible for clearing snowfall and de-icing over 829 centerline miles of roadway with over 1,919 lane miles covering almost 122 million square feet. They play a critical role in ensuring that residents can get to their destinations safely and efficiently during inclement weather.
