Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, U.S. Congresswoman representing Ohio’s 13th district since 2023, posted a series of messages on September 22, 2025, highlighting the value of library cards, expressing support for the Jewish community during challenging times, and congratulating a local small business advocate.

Sykes has represented Ohio's 13th District in Congress since succeeding Tim Ryan in 2023. Prior to her congressional service, she was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Akron in 1986 and currently residing there at age 37, Sykes holds degrees from Kent State University (BA) and earned her JD from the University of Florida.
