Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, U.S. Congresswoman representing Ohio’s 13th district since 2023, has voiced concerns over the recently signed Republican reconciliation bill through a series of posts on July 28, 2025.

Sykes succeeded Tim Ryan as representative for Ohio’s 13th district in Congress beginning in January 2023 after serving in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. She was born in Akron in 1986 and holds degrees from Kent State University and the University of Florida.
